For authors, it is difficult to obtain recognition and ensure traceability of these results. This article describes the DOI system (used as a persistent identifier typically assigned to monographs and scientific articles for their identification and traceability), proposing its adoption in some DH project contexts to promote identification and dissemination, also through a wide set of descriptive metadata.
