EKSPLORASI LIMBAH KAYU SERUT DAN BUBUK DENGAN PEREKAT ALAMI

Abstract

Adapun limbah kayu yang banyak dihasilkan salah satunya adalah limbah kayu serut dan serbuk gergaji. Dari hasil eksplorasi yang sudah dilakukan, hasil olahan dari limbah kayu serut yang ditambahkan serbuk kayu presentase 75% dengan perekat alami berbasis tepung kentang memiliki sifat terbaik yang dapat menahan beban hingga 12 kg, cukup tahan terhadap air, dan kaku. Untuk resep lem alami, cuka merupakan elemen yang penting untuk mencegah terjadinya pertumbuhan jamur yang ada. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan mengenai pengolahan limbah kayu serut dan serbuk dengan perekat ramah lingkungan bagi para desainer, pebisnis, pengrajin produk ataupun akademisi.
