Caracterización de las propiedades físicas del adobe de viviendas vernáculas en Santiago Amatlán, Oaxaca

Abstract

La pérdida del patrimonio arquitectónico representa un problema en México debido al desconocimiento de sus técnicas y características, además de la falta de normativa. Esta investigación forma parte del PRONAII 321260 del CONACYT, y se busca preservar los sistemas constructivos tradicionales en municipios marginados. Las estadísticas de la CONAVI indican que Santiago Amatlán, Oaxaca, presenta altos niveles de pobreza y un progresivo abandono de materiales tradicionales. En el presente trabajo se caracterizaron las propiedades físicas del adobe de viviendas vernáculas de la comunidad, lo que facilitará su preservación y promoverá su uso adecuado en nuevas construcciones que forman parte del patrimonio cultural de la región.
