Distribución y características de tierras campesinas en la microcuenca Atécuaro

Abstract

La Etnoedafología estudia la percepción que tienen los campesinos sobre las propiedades, nomenclatura, taxonomía de los suelos o tierras y su manejo en la agricultura. Se realizó un mapa con seis tierras campesinas y se registró el saber tradicional sobre sus características: Charanda, Revuelta, Barrosa, Tepetate, Polvilla y Tepetatosa; se distribuyen en el área de pie de monte y planicie de la microcuenca Atécuaro. Presentan características únicas de cada clase de tierra, aunque pueden compartir algún atributo con las demás; tienen similitud en nomenclatura y características con tierras de otras regiones de Michoacán, excepto la Tepetatosa que no se ha registrado en el estado.
