Espacialização e classificação de topos como zonas preferenciais de recarga natural de aqüíferos

Abstract

Este trabalho apresenta uma proposta de classificação qualitativa de topos como zonas de recarga de aqüíferos, tendo como estudo de caso o município de Belo Horizonte. A metodologia foi embasada em pressupostos teóricos do comportamento natural dos topos em relação aos processos de infiltração, percolação, armazenamento e transmissão de água. Além disso, as pressões humanas de um espaço metropolitano foram consideradas. Uma matriz de oito variáveis ambientais foi produzida e os resultados mostram que a recarga de aqüíferos de Belo Horizonte está comprometida pela intensa ocupação humana, bem como pelas limitações naturais do ambiente.
