INFLUXO DA ESCOLA DE FRANKFURT NO PENSAMENTO DECOLONIAL: BREVE ANÁLISE SOBRE A TEORIA CRÍTICA

Abstract

O presente trabalho visa apresentar a influência da chamada Escola de Frankfurt sobre o esboço analítico e metodológico do pensamento decolonial latino-americano. Para isso, foi abordada uma breve análise histórica da chamada Teoria Crítica dos pensadores frankfurtianos, principalmente Horkheimer e Adorno e suas análises críticas da sociedade de consumo do Ocidente, procurando abordar de que maneira aquela teoria influenciou as análises posteriores de autores decoloniais, com menção especial a Aníbal Quijano e sua teoria da Colonialidade do poder e Edgardo Lander com sua teoria da Colonialidade do saber. Dessa forma, será demonstrado que a influência de uma parte da teoria crítica se encontra presente no arcabouço teórico dos pensadores decoloniais, sobretudo, na sua crítica ao eurocentrismo e ao neoliberalismo.
