Tendencias y avances en la implementación de datos abiertos enlazados en bibliotecas: oportunidades y desafíos para Costa Rica

Abstract

Se presenta un análisis bibliométrico sobre la producción científica relacionada con la implementación de datos abiertos enlazados (Linked Open Data) en bibliotecas, destacando tendencias, autores clave, temáticas recurrentes y fuentes de publicación, con énfasis en el contexto costarricense. Se justifica por la relevancia creciente de los datos abiertos enlazados en la transformación digital de las bibliotecas, pese a su escasa adopción en América Latina. La investigación fue de enfoque cuantitativo, exploratorio y descriptivo, basada en el análisis de 98 documentos seleccionados de la base Scopus entre 2010 y 2024. Se emplearon herramientas como el software RStudio y el paquete Bibliometrix para analizar redes de co‑citación, palabras clave y productividad por autores y países. Los hallazgos muestran una concentración de publicaciones en Estados Unidos, Alemania y España, con escasa participación costarricense. Los términos más destacados son linked data, semantic web y open access. El estudio señala oportunidades para Costa Rica en formación profesional, investigación aplicada y colaboración internacional. Se concluye que los datos abiertos enlazados son una tecnología clave para la innovación en bibliotecas, pero su integración en Costa Rica requiere superar barreras técnicas y fortalecer políticas institucionales.
