Abstract

La biodegradación del polietilenos por microorganismos, es una solución para la reducción de la contaminación por plásticos constituyéndose una alternativa importante desde el punto de vista de la salud humana, del medio ambiente y del factor económico; la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la capacidad biodegradativa de los hongos filamentosos frente al polietileno; los hongos fueron aislados de residuos sólidos obtenidos del botadero de Cancharani, la identificación taxonómica de hongos filamentosos con capacidad degradativa frente al polietileno se realizó en base a características macroscópicas de crecimiento en placa y el estudio microscópico empleando la técnica de Micro cultivo en lámina; la capacidad degradativa se determinó a pH :5 y 20°C durante 20 días y para determinar las condiciones de pH y temperatura donde los hongos filamentosos con capacidad biodegradativa logran mayor actividad frente al polietileno se realizó mediante la técnica de Kavelman y Kendrick a temperaturas de 20 y 30°C y a pH de 4.5 y 8.0. Se aisló cinco especies de hongos filamentosos; Aspergillus Flavus, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus fumigatus, Mucor sp. y Fusarium sp, resultando tener capacidad biodegradativa en diferentes escalas de calificación y estadísticamente son biodegradadores frente al polietileno así mismo Aspergillus flavus demostró tener mayor capacidad biodegradativa frente al Aspergillus niger a un pH de 4.5 ,siendo indiferente la temperatura a 20 y 30°C , estadísticamente ambos son buenos biodegradadores frente al polietileno lo cual resalto la importancia de esta investigación.
