ANALISIS SIFAT MEKANIK BATA RINGAN YANG TERPAPAR SUHU TINGGI

Abstract

Perubahan temperatur akibat terpapar suhu tinggi yang berasal dari penyinaranmatahari ataupun dari bangunan yang terbakar akan berdampak padaperubahan sifat-sifat bata ringan tersebut, terutama perubahan kuat tekan bataringan. Dengan mengetahui kuat tekan bata ringan setelah terpapar suhu tinggimaka kita dapat memperhitungkan perbaikan apa yang sesuai untuk dindingbata ringan tersebut, dan apakah bata ringan tersebut masih layak digunakan.Benda uji yang digunakan adalah bata ringan berukuran panjang 60 cm, lebar10 cm ,dan tinggi 20 cm. Benda uji dipaparkan suhu tinggi dengan variasiwaktu selama 10 menit, 20 menit, 30 menit dan 40 menit. Dari pemaparanselama 10 menit suhu rata-rata yang dihasilkan sebesar 301 oC. Untukpemaparan selama 20 menit didapat hasil sebesar 349 oC. Pemaparan selama30 menit didapat hasil sebesar 355,5 oC. Serta untuk pemaparan selama 40menit didapat hasil sebesar 370 oC. Sedangkan untuk hasil uji kuat tekan bataringan akibat adanya pemaparan selama 10 menit, 20 menit, 30 menit dan 40menit, nilai kuat tekan yang dihasilkan yaitu sebesar 0,52 Mpa, 0,45 Mpa,0,44 Mpa dan 0,39 Mpa. Nilai ini turun sebesar 18 %, 29%, 31%, dan 38 %dari nilai kuat tekan bata ringan normal tanpa adanya pemaparan. Berdasarkanpenelitian yang telah dilakukan, nilaki kuat tekan bata ringan akibat adanyapaparan suhu tinggi menjadi menurun. Sebaiknya perlu dilakukan penelitianlebih lanjut dengan variasi waktu yang berbeda.
