Abstract

Recibido: 25 de julio de 2019Aprobado: 27 de agosto de 2019Las afecciones digestivas se encuentran entre las principales causas de morbimortalidad en niños menores de cuatro años, por lo cual es importante que se realice una investigación capaz de detectar y prevenir las distintas causas que la ocasionen, frecuentemente están asociadas a intolerancia a la lactosa y a la presencia de patógenos infecciosos como parásitos y rotavirus, parámetros que serán analizados en niños del Centro de Desarrollo Infantil del cantón Paján y Jipijapa. Se empleó un diseño de estudio descriptivo - no experimental y de tipo transversal, prospectivo y analítico, donde se incluyeron 96 niños entre 1 a 4 años. Se evidenció un 27% de positividad para parasitosis, la presencia de azucares reductores en 24% de la población y rotavirus en 1%, así mismo se evidenció significancia estadística entre antecedentes perinatales y parasitosis, de la misma forma en antecedentes familiares y de alimentación en relación a la positividad de azucares reductores. La presencia de intolerancia a la lactosa junto con las parasitosis, se constituyeron como principales causas de afecciones digestivas en los niños analizados, mientras que fue evidente la disminución de la incidencia de rotavirus gracias a su respectiva inmunización en esta población.
