Abstract

A pesar de que la educación superior desempeña una función cardinal en el logro de sociedades enfocadas a la consecución de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible proclamados por Naciones Unidas en 2015, se ha detectado una falta de marcos comunes sobre las competencias a integrar en los grados universitarios (Segalàs, Ferrer-Balas, Svansrom, Lundqvist, Mulder, 2009), sobre la necesidad de una formación más práctica e integradora, de actualización permanente del profesorado y de liderazgo organizacional para un logro efectivo de la Educación para el Desarrollo Sostenible (Van Weenen, 2000). Este artículo estudia y propone identificar las necesidades formativas en el perfil profesional del Grado de Educación Social en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a partir de la dimensión del desarrollo sostenible.La metodología de investigación utilizada ha sido de carácter cualitativo, empleando instrumentos como entrevistas semiestructuradas y grupos de enfoque con especialistas de diferentes ámbitos: tercer sector y sociedad civil; gestores de educación superior y miembros de la comunidad universitaria.Se perfila, de los resultados obtenidos, la necesidad de repensar la educación desde la mirada de la sostenibilidad. Incorporando al perfil del educador social dimensiones como la antropo-ética en los procesos formativos, valores como el respeto y cuidado de la comunidad de vida, la integridad ecológica, la justicia social, la economía sostenible; y, reforzar valores como la democracia, participación y cultura de paz. Se concluye con la necesidad de tener en cuenta en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje una cuarta dimensión competencial: saber convivir.
