Afrontar la disrupción para mejorar el clima de clase

Abstract

Esta investigación aborda cómo profesores y alumnos de un Instituto de Educación Secundaria de Madrid perciben el clima de clase, centrándose en cuáles son sus principales preocupaciones y qué soluciones encuentran para evitar la disrupción en el aula. Para ello, se ha utilizado una metodología cualitativa, realizando dos grupos de discusión en el mismo centro y analizando las respuestas dadas por unos y otros. El análisis muestra que, en general, existen grandes similitudes en la percepción que profesores y alumnos tienen sobre el clima de clase y sobre cómo evitar la disrupción; hay acuerdo en algunas claves que se reconocen como importantes para mejorar el ambiente: ambos coinciden en qué es lo que se espera de un buen profesor, la importancia que se concede a las relaciones interpersonales o la utilización de una metodología práctica en las aulas. Sin embargo, en otros aspectos las percepciones de unos y otros están más alejadas; el caso más claro es el relativo a la necesidad e importancia de las normas.
