Abstract

En México, el uso de la televisión en educación se hizo evidente con la experiencia de Telesecundaria (1966); teleaulas para la enseñanza en regiones apartadas donde el acceso es difícil o bien el número de alumnos es excesivamente pequeño como para plantearse la construcción de una escuela y el mantenimiento de una plantilla docente. La programación es preestablecida y controlada, considerándose el medio televisión como un recurso didáctico de gran valor para atender a estas poblaciones en cierto modo marginadas. La experiencia en el uso de la televisión se genera en Latinoamérica en la década de los 60 principalmente, lo cual permite identificar que México no quedó al margen de tan significativos avances, pues a partir de esa década, es cuando nace la experiencia que se analiza en el presente artículo. La telesecundaria hoy en día es un subsistema con grandes logros, pero también con enormes retos y sobre todo con graves deficiencias, que desafortunadamente no han sido estudiadas ni atendidas acertadamente, como se podrá ver a lo largo de este trabajo. En el caso de la telesecundaria en México se hace necesario enfatizar, que con el uso de nueva tecnología se formarán a los jóvenes para enfrentar los nuevos retos de un planeta cada vez más comunicado. En este sentido la orientación de una política educativa y tecnológica que fomente la construcción de aprendizajes con el uso de nuevas tecnologías en telesecundaria resulta fundamental.
