Factores asociados al rendimiento académico

Abstract

Se llevó a cabo un estudio con alumnos del 3er. semestre de preparatoria del Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Campus Toluca, en donde se investigaron los factores: autocontrol, habilidad social, promedio de secundaria, puntaje de la prueba de admisión al sistema ITESM y las calificaciones obtenidas durante los dos primeros semestres de la preparatoria bilingüe y bicultural, como variables que correlacionan con el rendimiento académico de los alumnos en la preparatoria. Se plantearon dos aspectos relevantes para llevar a cabo la investigación, en primera instancia, su probable contribución con la estructuración de programas de seguimiento académico para alumnos que obtengan puntajes límites al ingresar a la preparatoria y por otra parte, su posibilidad de identificar áreas de conocimiento para el rediseño de los programas de atención y desarrollo académico (PDA y PAA) en donde se brinda apoyo y asesoría a alumnos con dificultades escolares.
