Abstract

El artículo estudia un conjunto denovelas ecuatorianas –publicadas en el curso delnuevo siglo–, que explícitamente evidencian, yproblematizan, el diálogo con su propia tradiciónnarrativa. Sus autores recurren a estrategias deapropiaciones, reescrituras, hurtos y“correcciones”, en un juego de ampliasresonancias intertextuales y metaliterarias. Elcorpus de estudio lo conforman cinco novelas:El pinar de Segismundo (2008), de Eliécer Cárdenas;Oscurana (2011), de Luis Carlos Mussó; Memoriasde Andrés Chiliquinga (2013), de Carlos Arcos;Tatuaje de náufragos (2008), de Jorge VelascoMackenzie, La desfiguración Silva (2014), deMónica Ojeda. Las novelas mencionadas seconstruyen alrededor de una red de relaciones yreferencias a otros textos, en donde la literaturamisma deviene archivo y fuente de nuevasescrituras. Interesa pensar la construcción de unalínea de filiaciones y genealogías literarias, lamemoria afectiva como detonante de un deseode escritura, la presencia del nombre propiocomo disparador de sentidos, la producción depensamiento y debates desde la imaginaciónliteraria, la aparición de escritores y personajes encalidad de fantasmas que interpelan al escritorcontemporáneo en calidad de heredero de unatradición. Los autores de las novelas discutidasson, ante todo, lectores de una tradiciónnarrativa: escriben desde una bibliotecacompartida, y desde una particular relaciónafectiva con personajes, libros y escritores quehabitan la memoria literaria. Interesa leer lanovelística contemporánea como escenificaciónde un legado, así como un ejercicio derememoración, reescrituras y trabajo encomunidad.
