HANS F2019: NUEVA VARIEDAD DE TRIGO HARINERO PARA SIEMBRAS DE RIEGO EN MÉXICO

Abstract

En México se produjeron 2.98 millones de toneladas (MT) de trigo en el año 2020, de las cuales 1.19 fueron del tipo macarronero (Triticum durum Desf.) y 1.79 de tipo harinero (Triticum aestivum L.). Del trigo macarronero se consumieron en el país 577,392 toneladas y el resto (615,511 toneladas) se exportó, mientras que del harinero se demandaron 6.20 MT, por lo que se recurrió a la importación de 4.40 MT. El trigo importado fue en 90 % del tipo de grano panificable de gluten fuerte y se realizó en su mayoría de EUA, Canadá, Rusia y Ucrania (SIAP, 2022).
