ANÁLISIS DE LA RESISTENCIA A LA ROYA DE LA HOJA EN TRIGOS HARINEROS PARA TEMPORAL

Abstract

Con el fin de conocer los genes presentes en plántula y el tipo de resistencia en plántula y en planta adulta de 50 genotipos de trigo (Triticum aestivum L.), se hicieron evaluaciones en plántula con 12 razas de roya de la hoja del trigo (Puccinia triticina E.) y con la raza MCJ/SP en invernadero y campo respectivamente. Entre los 50 genes designados que confieren resistencia a la roya de la hoja, se identificaron 12 presentes, solos o en combinación. Estos genes fueron Lr1, 2a, 3, 3bg, 10, 13, 16, 17, 23, 26, 27+31, y otros genes aún no identificados. Lr1 fue el más común en plántula. En planta adulta, los 50 genotipos se clasificaron en dos grupos cada uno con dos subgrupos; el primero estuvo formado por genotipos susceptibles en plántula a MCJ/SP, ya sea resistentes y susceptibles en planta adulta; el segundo grupo estuvo formado por genotipos resistentes en plántula a MCJ/SP, y resistentes o susceptibles en planta adulta. De los 50 genotipos evaluados, sólo 50 % mostró un nivel de resistencia adecuado en planta adulta en condiciones de campo; 30 % combinó resistencia específica en plántula y resistencia de planta adulta. En el segundo ensayo 20 % de los genotipos mostraron resistencia parcial que puede ser de tipo durable y que puede ser más estable a través de ambientes, ejemplos de esta resistencia son las variedades Romoga, Tlaxcala y Juchi.
