ANALISIS DE LOS EXPERIMENTOS CON HORTALIZAS

Abstract

Para los experimentos de cultivos como las hortalizas, en donde el rendimiento puede clasificarse en varias categorías, no existe en la literatura un método de análisis estadístico bien defini­do. El propósito de este trabajo es escribir un procedimiento de análisis suficientemente lógico, basado en consideraciones econó­micas. Así, en los ensayos comparativos, de define como mejor tratamiento aquél que produce la máxima ganancia económica por uni­dad de superficie. Se propone un índice económico como la carac­terística por analizar, que depende de los rendimientos observa­dos en cada una de las categorías en que se divide el rendimiento, así como el precio unitario correspondiente. Resulta claro observar que el método propuesto es aplicable directamente a los experimen­tos de mejoramiento, donde es importante determinar las mejores va­riedades o híbridos en ensaye. La metodología se ilustra con los resultados de un experimento de sandía, realizado por el Depar ta­mento de Hortalizas del CNIA.
