
В статье представлены результаты исследования развития малых и средних городов с России. Определены основные проблемы малых и средних городов. Приведены данные последних трех переписей населения по распределению малых и средних городов по федеральным округам (20022021 гг.). В качестве положительного примера предлагается использовать опыт Беларуси по формированию комфортной жизни в малых городах. Рассмотрены основные направления развития малых городов в Беларуси (развитие промышленности, налоговые льготы, комфортная городская среда, транспортная доступность, развитие культуры). Приведены примеры внедрения инноваций и цифровизации. Проанализировано действие государственных программ по развитию малых городов Беларуси. Даны рекомендации по преодолению трудностей в малых и средних городах России. The article presents the results of a study of the development of small and medium-sized cities from Russia. The main problems of small and medium-sized cities are identified. The data of the last three population censuses on the distribution of small and medium-sized cities by federal districts (2002-2021) are presented. As a positive example, it is proposed to use the experience of Belarus in creating a comfortable life in small towns. The main directions of development of small towns in Belarus (industrial development, tax benefits, comfortable urban environment, transport accessibility, cultural development) are considered. Examples of innovation and digitalization are given. The effect of state programs for the development of small towns in Belarus is analyzed. Recommendations for overcoming difficulties in small and medium-sized cities of Russia are given.
