Abstract

Los oxiuros es la parasitosis producida por Enterobius vermiculares, son gusanos intestinales, pequeños, delgados y de color blanquecino. Esta patología tiene una prevalencia de 15% y 20% sobre todo en niños que están en edad escolar. Los metabolitos tóxicos actúan sobre el sistema nervioso y producen nerviosismo e irritabilidad. El tratamiento consiste en medidas higiénicas personales y antiparasitarios. Se presenta un caso clínico de una niña de 5 años, su diagnóstico y tratamiento.
