Trichoscopy is a Universal Method of Diagnostics and Differential Diagnosis of Dermatoses with Localization on the Scalp

Abstract

Introduction. Therapy for hair loss of various etiologies, as well as dermatoses with localization on the scalp, is often complicated by the lack of standardized diagnostics, as well as an effective method for evaluating the therapy. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the possibility of using trichoscopy as a universal method of diagnosis and differential diagnosis of dermatoses with localization on the scalp.Materials and methods. 334 patients who were on the treatment with pathology of the hair and scaip.Results. In the course of the study, trichoscopic concepts were systematized for the first time, the clinical significance of a set of trichoscopic criteria for the non-invasive diagnosis of dermatoses wasdetermined, their role in the differential diagnosis of dermatoses was demonstrated on a sufficient number of clinical observations.
