Abstract

The article describes the stages and conditions of the process of professional adaptation of former employees of uniformed services in the context of the transition from the uniformed formation to the private service market. It discusses the specifics of the developing services of Maritime Security Operatives and describes the requirements for employees of this industry. The issues is placed in the context of the concept of lifelong learning, pointing out that finding a job and efficient adaptation to a new workplace depends on the level of investment in the self-development of the job seeker. It is also noted that the process of adaptation in this particular profession is largely based on informal learning integrated with the process of performing work in completely new conditions. Adaptation to work is analyzed in relation to the one of the new forms of work organization - freelance. Its fast development in recent years is determined by both economic trends related to the internationalization and globalization of work and its transformation into a service character, which is visible in the case of professions such as MSO, and the subjectivization of the perception of work by some former soldiers.

Artykuł opisuje etapy i uwarunkowania procesu adaptacji zawodowej byłych pracowników służb mundurowych w kontekście przejścia z formacji mundurowej do prywatnego rynku usług.
