Cooperation is one the foundations of the Polish Platform of Medical Research, an initiative that is collaborative by design and assumes that more institutions will join in. The main focus was on preparing and adopting common documents integrating the Polish Platform of Medical Research with the business activities of each partner and on meeting guidelines on openness in science. The implementation of the project required tackling a number of challenges at the system architecture, interpersonal and intra-institutional levels. This allowed for the creation of a unique central platform which enables all project partners to retrieve information developed at the local level simultaneously.
