Antecedentes, balance y perspectivas del sistema interamericano

Abstract

El Instituto de Estudios Internacionales realizo entre el 11 de mayo y el 2 de junio de 1976, un curso destinado a analizar la Organizacion de Estados Americanos y el Sistema Interamericano, pero desde un punto de vista de sus antecedentes y de la perspectiva de la cooperacion hemisferica. Para cumplir este proposito universitario el Instituto reunio, ademas de sus propios profesores e investigadores, a miembros academicos del Departamento de Economia de la Universidad de Chile, hecho que demuestra una vez mas el espiritu interdisciplinario y por lo tanto cientifico, que mueve todas las actividades que emprende el Instituto de Estudios Internacionales. La obra que nos permitimos presentar ha sido, dividida en tres partes: la primera, se refiere a los antecedentes del sistema interamericano; la segunda, persigue efectuar un balance del sistema, mientras que la tercera, cubre las perspectivas del mismo.
