Emigracja z Galicji oczyma maturzystów A.D. 2022

Abstract

The article is based on an analysis of approximately 300 responses to a question from the 2022 A-level (matura) history exam regarding the relationship between the economic structure of Austrian Galicia and the phenomenon of emigration. Using the MAXQDA software, the author formulates conclusions about the knowledge and skills of secondary school graduates, as well as their beliefs and values. The analysis indicates that Polish youth’s understanding of economic-driven emigration is rather superficial and shaped not only by formal historical education. The effective use of cause-and-effect reasoning and the perception of emigration as an unemotional means of improving living conditions can be attributed to extracurricular influences as well, which, however, can serve as a foundation for the educational process. ;

Artykuł oparty jest na analizie około trzystu odpowiedzi na pytanie zawarte w arkuszu maturalnym z historii w 2022 r. dotyczące zależności między strukturą gospodarki Galicji a zjawiskiem emigracji. Wykorzystując program MAXQDA, autorka formułuje wnioski dotyczące wiedzy i umiejętności maturzystów, a także ich przekonań i wartości. Z przeprowadzonej analizy wynika, że wiedza polskiej młodzieży na temat emigracji “za chlebem” jest raczej powierzchowna i ukształtowana nie tylko w toku formalnej edukacji historycznej. Również sprawne posługiwanie się myśleniem przyczynowo-skutkowym oraz traktowanie emigracji jako niebudzącego emocji sposobu poprawy warunków życia można przypisać wpływom czynników pozaszkolnych, na których można jednak budować proces dydaktyczny
