Modelo logarítmico modificado e coeficiente de precisão experimental no dimensionamento de parcelas experimentais

Abstract

Uma eficiente comparação de tratamentos depende da precisão experimental. Um método adequado para aumentar a precisão experimental é considerar no planejamento do experimento o tamanho ótimo para as parcelas experimentais. Na literatura há diversos métodos para obter o tamanho ótimo de parcelas experimentais, tais como o da máxima curvatura modificada e os modelos linear e quadrático segmentado com resposta platô. No entanto, nem sempre esses métodos apresentam resultados coerentes e praticáveis. Por isso, objetivou-se neste trabalho propor o uso do coeficiente de precisão experimental (CPE) no dimensionamento das unidades experimentais básicas e um novo método para a estimação de tamanho ótimo de parcela: o modelo logarítmico modificado com resposta platô (MLMP). Os métodos apresentados foram aplicados à cultura de arroz (Oryza sativa L.). Os resultados obtidos indicam que o uso do CPE melhora a qualidade de ajuste dos modelos e a estimativa do tamanho ótimo de parcelas experimentais. O MLMP mostra-se adequado para a obtenção do tamanho ótimo de parcelas experimentais. A estimativa de tamanho ótimo de parcela, considerando o CPE, é de 9,64m² para a cultura de arroz, valor coerente com os utilizados na prática e semelhantes aos valores determinados pelos outros métodos existentes.
