A Multidisciplinary Perspective on Interstellar, Interplanetary, and Intergalactic Travel: Technological, Legal, and Societal Implications

Abstract

This paper presents a multidisciplinary exploration of the technological, legal, and societal implications of interstellar, interplanetary, and intergalactic travel. By integrating insights from space engineering, space law, and international relations, this paper examines the technological, legal, and societal implications of human expansion beyond Earth. It delves into critical questions such as the development of advanced propulsion systems, international cooperation, and ethical considerations, aiming to contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the future of human space exploration. Examining the intersection of space engineering and space law, this paper aims to identify the key challenges and opportunities associated with future human expansion into the cosmos. This paper argues that a paradigm shift is necessary to develop and implement innovative technologies, such as advanced propulsion systems, to enable interstellar and intergalactic travel. Additionally, this paper discusses the legal and ethical frameworks that will be required to govern human activities in space, ensuring the sustainable and equitable use of cosmic resources.
