Abstract

RÉSUMÉ. — Georges Canguilhem est l'auteur de nombreux articles et d'un livre avant la publication de l'Essai sur quelques problèmes concernant le normal et le pathologique en 1943. Dans ces textes peu connus, il s'inspire d'Alain pour proposer une philosophie de la révolte contre l'« adoration du fait », puis de Bergson pour entamer une réflexion sur la technique dans la vie, avant de développer sa propre philosophie de la technique et de la création. Ces intuitions de jeunesse de Canguilhem se retrouvent dans les œuvres d'histoire des sciences de la maturité, et permettent ainsi de mieux comprendre sa critique de la psychologie, son vif intérêt pour la médecine ou son refus passionné d'une conception déterministe du milieu, qui semble être au cœur de sa pensée.
