Abstract

În anul 1926, cu ocazia săpăturilor efectuate la fundaţia agenţiei Băncii Naţionale a României de la Silistra (astăzi, Muzeul Regional de Arheologie Silistra, Bulgaria), a fost descoperit colţul unei clădiri care, conform adâncimilor indicate pe planuri, aparţine canabae-lor legiunii XI Claudia de la Durostorum. Pornind de la amplasamentul acestei săpături, precum şi de la descoperirile anterioare ale arheologilor bulgari, este propusă o schiţă de morfologie urbană a canabaelor.
