De l’orthographe à la prononciation : apport de la psychologie et de la neuropsychologie cognitives

Abstract

Les modèles de lecture, proposés en psychologie cognitive, se proposent de décrire les connaissances et opérations cognitives qui sous-tendent la prononciation des séquences écrites. De nombreux modèles ont été élaborés qui tentent de rendre compte tant de la lecture adulte experte que des comportements pathologiques de lecture. Cet article a pour but d’exposer les principales conceptions théoriques proposées jusqu’ici. Seront ainsi successivement présentées les conceptions développées dans le cadre des modèles cognitivistes de lecture dits «à deux-voies», des modèles analogiques et des modèles connexionnistes. L’intérêt et les limites de chacune de ces approches seront discutés, nous amenant à proposer un modèle connexionniste original de la lecture.
