Abstract

Sidyma est un site de Lycie occidentale connu par des textes litteraires dont le plus ancien date du 1er siecle av. J.-C. Son urbanisme est difficile a apprehender en raison de la reoccupation du site par les habitants de Dodurgar qui se sont installes dans cette annexe haute de leur village. Une enceinte a ete reconnue sur environ 350 m. En contrebas du theâtre et de l'enceinte s'etendait la ville romaine non fortifiee. En dehors des nombreux monuments funeraires, des vestiges epars illustrent la richesse de la decoration de la ville a cette epoque. Cette ville ne semble pas avoir connu de declin entre l'epoque hellenistique et byzantine
