Abstract

señala el particular interés de esta versión de la historia de Apolonio de Tiro para el estudio del vocabulario musical medieval español, y partiendo de la consideración sistemática de ese aspecto del poema (valor y concepto de la música ; el repertorio vocal ; la ejecución musical) muestra la pertinencia de sus notaciones relativas a la afinación de los instrumentos y a la ejecución monódica y aun polifónica, y propone acepciones más precisas para algunos de los términos menos felizmente explicados : laude, responso, debailadas, doblas. — La segunda nota — « La corona del rey Apolonio » — trata de mostrar que un pasaje que Marden consideró corrompido es, por el contrario, capital para la comprensión de las relaciones entre las jerarquías sociales y la práctica artística y, por ello mismo, esencial para la comprensión cabal del carácter del protagonista del Libro.
