Abstract

Qu’elle passe par le choix du nom, l’ usage de la langue, les pratiques de soins ou les rites, la transmission culturelle, lorsqu’elle est réussie, ne relève pas de la simple reproduction, mais laisse à l’enfant d’origine immigrée un espace de liberté et de création qui favorise sa socialisation et son intégration. Les professionnels ont un rôle à jouer dans ce processus, non pas en cherchant à se substituer au rôle parental mais en développant avec la famille une culture commune.
