Un biface exceptionnel provenant d'Amiens

Abstract

Nous pr?sentons aujourd'hui un biface de taille exceptionnelle provenant de la collection V?signi?, que notre regrett? Pr?sident a l?gu?e au Laboratoire de Palethnologie de l'Ecole des Hautes Etudes (Pr H. Vaufrey). Il mesure 0m30 ? quelques millim?tres pr?s, est du type lanc?ol? (mais non micoquien), pr?sente une patine blanche tr?s l?g?rement lustr?e. Sur la face la plus bomb?e, ? la partie distale, un long enl?vement partant de la pointe d?terminait une ar?te extr?mement tranchante. Ce type d'enl?vement n'est pas rare dans l'Acheul?en.
