Abstract

L'elevage en captivite de Saga pedo (Pallas, 1771), espece a reproduction parthenogenetique thelytoque, a permis d'etudier durant huit annees consecutives l'evolution ab ovo de son cycle biologique. La duree de la diapause de ses oeufs est desormais connue. Egalement controverse jusqu'a ce jour, le nombre de mues jusqu'au stade adulte a definitivement pu etre arrete a cinq ou le plus souvent a six. Ceci dans un contexte artificiel qui a tente de se rapprocher le plus possible des conditions naturelles.
