Abstract

Avortement et contraception ont été au centre de multiples discussions pendant les premières années du pouvoir soviétique. Perçu comme un enjeu d'une extrême importance le débat qui va se découler entre 1918 et 1936 va être un révélateur particulièrement fin des divers courants politiques de l'époque. Prenant ses racines dans la période qui précède la révolution, il va concentrer toutes les contradictions d'une société ne réussissant pas à trouver son équilibre. L'examen des textes de cette période, effectué dans cet article permet de mettre en place ces divergences qui vont conduire à l'attitude libérale du début des années 1919- 1920 qui se transforme, à partir du début de la décennie suivante, en une législation très restrictive.
