Abstract

Introdução: A Endodontia é uma área constantemente contemplada com inovações tecnológicas e científicas que visam tornar o tratamento do canal radicular cada vez mais eficiente. No entanto, os procedimentos clínicos necessários para a resolução de casos complexos, tais como calcificações severas de canais e a remoção de pinos de fibra de vidro insatisfatórios podem comprometer a viabilidade do elemento dental. Neste contexto, surgiu a Endodontia guiada, ou endoguide, que associa tomografia computadorizada de feixe cônico (TCFC), escaneamento intraoral e impressão tridimensional (3D) ao tratamento endodôntico. Esta técnica permite que, por meio de guias acrílicos fixados em boca, uma broca de acesso cavitário seja guiada no interior do canal, impedindo eventuais desvios e remoção desnecessária de dentina, assegurando um acesso com excelência. Objetivo: Revisar a literatura atual sobre o uso do endoguide, destacando sua técnica de realização, indicações, limitações, vantagens e desvantagens. Materiais e Métodos: Foram analisados artigos científicos completos, em língua inglesa, obtidos na base de dados PubMed, publicados entre 2013 e 2020, utilizando-se as palavras-chave endoguide ou guided endodontics. Resultados: O endoguide se mostrou eficaz, independente do grau de habilidade e experiência do operador, permitindo o acesso a dentes com canais obliterados, com o mínimo de desgaste dentinário, evitando desvios e aumentando as chances de sucesso do tratamento endodôntico. As principais desvantagens são o alto custo e a dificuldade de instalação na região posterior da boca. Conclusão: O endoguide representou um grande avanço na Endodontia atual, oferecendo eficiência, preservação de estrutura dental e economia de tempo clínico na resolução de casos complexos.
