The article ‘Investigating the Role of the Post-transcriptional Gene Regulator MiR-24-3p in the Proliferation, Migration and Apoptosis of Human Arterial Smooth Muscle Cells in Arteriosclerosis Obliterans’ [Cell Physiol Biochem 2015;36(4):1359–1370. https://doi.org/10.1159/000430302] by Xiao-feng Zhu, Zhen Shan, Jie-yi Ma, Mian Wang, Chun-xiang Zhang, Rui-ming Liu, Wei-bin Wu, Ya-wei Shi, Wen Li and Shen-ming Wang has been retracted by the current and former Publishers and the Editor on behalf of the authors. After the publication of this article, the authors informed the journal that the incorrect representative images were selected during figure preparation for Figure 2E 0H vehicle/PDGFBB - group and Figure 2E 24H negative control/ PDGFBB + group. The authors stated that this error also impacted the results in the graph of Figure 2E. When the original data for Figure 2 was requested by the journal and provided by the authors, additional concerns were identified which undermined the reliability of the results. As these concerns could not be satisfactorily addressed by the authors, the article is being retracted. The authors agree with this retraction.
