Metamorfosis empresarial: historia de estrategias económicas en movimiento

Abstract

Food companies in Mexico have evolved from producer associations and family businesses into economic groups and support organizations. This transition has involved increasing competition and the need to develop productivity-oriented strategies. In this context, this research analyzes the trajectory of Grupo Lala, a company distinguished by its diverse product range in the domestic market and its presence in various countries across the continent. The study aimed to describe the general organization and economic strategies employed by this business group to consolidate its position in the domestic market and expand internationally. A qualitative, documentary, historical, and analytical approach was used, based on interpretive sources such as bibliography, the corporate website, and periodic and annual information published on the Mexican Stock Exchange. The results illustrate the development and expansion of Grupo Industrial Lala, highlighting its financing strategies, government support through public policies, production with strict quality controls, supply chain, marketing, technological upgrades, transactions, and brand expansion. It is concluded that the Lala Industrial Group managed to consolidate its position in the national market through vertical integration, marketing, industrialization and distribution of its production.
