Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa briket berbahan dasar limbah serbuk gergaji sebagai bahan bakar alternatif yang ramah lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pemanfatan atau pembuatan briket dari limbah serbuk gergaji yaitu dari total 7 orang responden, yang menjawab Ya tidak ada dengan presentase 0%, sementara yang menjawab Tidak sebanyak 7 orang dengan presentase 100 % dari total presentase (100%). Berdasarkan uji kualitas fisik yaitu untuk mendidihkan 1 liter air, diketahui bahwa 5 buah briket dari serbuk gergaji dapat mematangkan air dalam waktu 7 menit. Hasil uji sifat penyalaan dari briket berbahan dasar serbuk gergaji, diketahui 3 buah briket serbuk gergaji memiliki keadaan mudah menyala, lama nyala yaitu 13 menit, jumlah asap yang sedikit, jumlah debu yang sedikit (1,03g), dan memiliki aroma yang tidak terlalu harum Kata Kunci: Limbah, Serbuk Gergaji, Briket
