Subnotificação de eventos adversos ocasionados por medicamentos

Abstract

Os eventos adversos causados por medicamento afetam a segurança do paciente nas instituições de saúde, com isso a notificação é um fator de compromisso por parte dos profissionais de saúde para reduzir a ocorrência de erros. O objetivo é analisar possíveis causas de subnotificação de eventos adversos ocasionados por medicamentos. O presente trabalho foi realizado através de um estudo retrospectivo de abordagem quantitativa e caráter descritivo. O presente estudo permitiu a identificação de pontos de melhoria referentes a notificação de eventos adversos ocasionados por medicamentos que afetam diretamente a segurança do paciente, possibilitando o conhecimento de falhas e problemas dos profissionais e causas da subnotificação reduzindo o número de erros. Resultado: foi indicado que por medo de punições, vergonha, e falta de conhecimento por parte dos profissionais da área da saúde deixam de notificar os erros cometidos. Deve-se estimular a prática anônima, medidas que garantam o sigilo a quem notifica, contribuindo ao aumento das notificações.
