Pengembangan Sistem Pakar Diagnosis Penyakit Kucing

Abstract

Kucing adalah mamalia kecil yang dapat dipelihara dirumah sebagai binatang peliharaan yang banyak diminati oleh masyarakat. Salah satu kelebihan kucing adalah memiliki antibody yang baik, sehingga mampu memulihkan kondisi tubuh apabila mengalami sakit tertentu. Namun apabila sakit yang dialami berat, perlu bantuan manusia untuk proses kesembuhan kucing tersebut, dan kekurang pahaman masyarakat akan penyakit, gejala, dan penanganan terhadap penyakit sangat minim. Ketidakcocokan pengobatan untuk kucing dengan metode yang sama dengan manusia akan mengakibatkan semakin parah nya penyakit, bahkan menimbulkan kematian pada kucing. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk membantu masyarakat yang memelihara kucing, khusus nya yang kurang informasi akan penyakit kucing dapat mengerti beberapa penyakit umum pada kucing dengan melihat gejala awal yang timbul. Sistem pakar yang dikembangkan ini dapat digunakan semua kalangan dengan perangkat komputer desktop. Sistem pakar ini menggunakan metode peneltian yang diungkapkan oleh Durkin tahun 1994. Inferensi yang digunakan adalah Forward Chaining, penggunaan IDE Netbeans sebagai perancangan design dan Java sebagai bahasa pemrogramannya. DBMS yang digunakan dalam pembuatan sistem pakar ini adalah MySQL yang terintegrasi dalam aplikasi XAMMP. Diharapkan sistem pakar ini dapat memberikan informasi ke khalayak luas khususnya membantu masyarakat awam yang memelihara kucing untuk lebih memahami penyakit kucing.
