Jatkuva oppiminen on lupaus paremmasta tulevaisuudesta

Abstract

Taidoista ja osaamisesta tarvitaan laaja-alaista keskustelua. Jatkuvaan oppimiseen sisältyvä tulevaisuudenlupaus vahvistuvasta kilpailukyvystä ei riitä. Työn, teknologian ja organisaatioiden muutosten aiheuttamat haasteet eivät saa ylittää yksilöiden kapasiteettia, oppimiselle on oltava riittävästi aikaa, eikä ketään tule jättää yksin oppimisvaikeuksiensa kanssa. Turhautumista ja merkityksettömyyden kokemusta oppimisen äärellä emme halua. Tarvitaan politiikkaa, jossa uutta oppimalla edistetään laaja-alaista sivistystä, rauhanomaista konfliktien ratkaisua ja sosiaalista oikeudenmukaisuutta sekä turvataan maapallon ekologinen kestävyys.
