Impacto del COVID-19 en el comercio agropecuario, alternativas y planes de acción

Abstract

Sabemos que el desarrollo agropecuario constituye uno de los medios más importantes para poner fin a la pobreza extrema, impulsar la prosperidad y alimentar a una población que para el 2050 se espera llegue a 9,700 millones de habitantes; lamentablemente el sector agropecuario durante el COVID-19 ha sido afectado internacionalmente, repercutiendo en todas sus actividades. Este artículo presenta información, de cómo el COVID-19 ha impactado sobre la cadena de valor que conforma la actividad agropecuaria, siendo esta la base de la alimentación de la población y que genera ingresos a pequeños, medianos y grandes agricultores, los cuales contribuyen a la seguridad alimentaria del mundo. El presente estudio es una revisión documental de tipo descriptivo, basada en aportes teóricos de artículos científicos y publicaciones oficiales de dominio público de instituciones académicas, tecnológicas, científicas y gubernamentales, cuyo objetivo fue analizar la situación actual del sector agropecuario frente a la emergencia sanitaria COVID-19. Como conclusión se determinó que el COVID-19, generó impactos sobre el comercio agropecuario y la seguridad alimentaria, lo cual obligo a muchas de las empresas adaptarse a las preocupaciones de los clientes y adoptar la transformación digital como estrategia para potencializar su desempeño comercial.
