Desarrollo de poliuretanos con propiedades mejoradas

Abstract

Introducción: Esta investigación explora la mejora de las propiedades superficiales de poliuretanos elastoméricos mediante la incorporación de aditivos antiadherentes en masa y superficie. Objetivos: El objetivo fue optimizar el procesado del poliuretano de bajas prestaciones y evaluar el efecto de diferentes aditivos fluorados y de sílice funcionalizada sobre su hidrofobicidad y propiedades mecánicas. Metodología: Se siguió una metodología experimental cuantitativa, utilizando formulaciones estándar de poliol e isocianato, a las que se incorporaron aditivos tanto en masa como en recubrimiento (coating), y se caracterizaron las muestras mediante ensayos de ángulo de contacto. Resultados: Los resultados mostraron que aditivos como F1 y F2 al 1 % en coating y F2 al 1 % en masa incrementan significativamente el ángulo de contacto sin comprometer las propiedades mecánicas. Conclusiones: Se concluye que los aditivos de sílice funcionalizada con flúor (NS1 y NS2) son especialmente prometedores, y que esta estrategia es aplicable al desarrollo de poliuretanos antiadherentes de altas prestaciones para aplicaciones industriales.
