Evaluación del consumo y emisiones de un vehículo implementado una válvula MARCLAIS a 2754 msnm

Abstract

Introducción: según bibliografía, la válvula ecológica Marclais es un dispositivo automotriz utilizado para reducir las emisiones contaminantes y el consumo de combustible por efecto de la altura sobre el nivel del mar. Objetivos: para corroborar esta información se instaló en un vehículo de inyección electrónica a gasolina el dispositivo y se realizó pruebas de emisiones contaminantes y consumo de combustible. Metodología: las pruebas de emisiones se realizaron según norma NTE INE 2 203:2000, a diferentes regímenes del motor, ralentí, 2000rpm y 4000rpm, y un analizador de gases KEIN 4-2. El consumo de combustible se realizó mediante pruebas dinámicas según norma SAE J 1321:2012, en una ruta de 12.3 km a una velocidad promedio de 50km/h, con combustible extra en la ciudad de Riobamba a 2750msnm. Resultados: al analizar los datos obtenidos de las emisiones contaminantes se evidencio una disminución del 20% en el Monóxido de Carbono (CO) y los Hidrocarburos (HC) en 24%, siendo estos dos gases los más contaminantes y los que se busca reducir al máximo, el Oxigeno (O2) y el Dióxido de Carbono no presentaron variaciones notables, así mismo, en el consumo de combustible se obtuvo un ahorro significativo del 23.56%. Conclusiones: la válvula Marclais contribuye en gran medida a reducir las emisiones y el consumo a partir de 1800 msnm.
