Consumo de alimentos industrializados e distúrbios gastrintestinais em adolescentes

Abstract

Os adolescentes são considerados um grupo de risco nutricional por estar relacionados í má alimentação, pelo fato dos estudos demonstrarem um alto consumo de alimentos industrializados e baixo consumo de alimentos naturais. O objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi identificar a frequência de consumo de alimentos industrializados e distúrbios gastrintestinais em adolescentes. A pesquisa foi realizada em uma escola particular, no municí­pio de João Pessoa/PB, onde participaram 11 adolescentes, com idade entre 15 e 18 anos. Os adolescentes responderam um questionário sobre sinais e sintomas gastrintestinais e frequência de consumo de alimentos industrializados. Do total de participantes, 72,72% eram meninas, com idade média de 15 anos e solteiros. Quanto aos distúrbios gastrintestinais, os mais citados foram náusea e azia (45,45%), dor/desconforto gástrico (27,27%), vômito/refluxo gástrico (18,18%). Os alimentos consumidos com maior frequência foram refresco em pó (72,72%), café (54,55%), refrigerante (45,46%), sorvete/chocolate/presunto/hambúrguer (36,37%), suco industrializado/coxinha/mortadela/biscoito recheado (27,28%), salsicha (18,19%) e pastel/pizza/fiambre (9,10%). É importante o trabalho de educação nutricional junto aos adolescentes no intuito de orientá-los sobre a qualidade e quantidade de alimentos consumidos e a prevenção das doenças gastrintestinais.Palavras-chave: consumo alimentar, distúrbios gastrintestinais, adolescentes.
