Abstract

O objetivo desse estudo foi analisar o efeito da duração do alongamento estático na flexibilidade dos músculos isquiotibiais em um curto programa de alongamento. Através de um teste da flexibilidade dos músculos isquiotibiais, foram escolhidas 40 voluntárias na faixa etária de 18 a 25 anos do Instituto Municipal de Ensino Superior de Catanduva – IMES/FAFICA. Estas foram divididas em quatro grupos de dez, sendo o grupo 1 – grupo controle, o grupo 2 – alongamento estático por 15 segundos, o grupo 3 – alongamento estático por 1 minuto e o grupo 4 – alongamento estático por 3 minutos. As voluntárias dos grupos 2, 3 e 4 foram submetidas ao alongamento durante cinco dias consecutivos. Estas voluntárias foram avaliadas através do teste de flexibilidade dos músculos isquiotibiais com goniômetro antes do alongamento e no quinto dia, ou seja, no último dia de alongamento. Após a análise estatí­stica através dos testes Anova e Tukey, os resultados mostraram que houve diferença estatisticamente significativa (p < 0,05) entre os grupos, exceto quando comparados o grupo 1 com o 3 e o grupo 2 com o 3.Palavras-chave: músculos isquiotibiais, flexibilidade, alongamento estático.
