Suspensão de exames de imagem em cardiologia em um hospital de ensino

Abstract

Objetivo: Analisar a suspensão de exames de imagem em cardiologia em um hospital de ensino. Métodos: Pesquisa quantitativa, realizada em um hospital de ensino em Salvador/BA, Brasil, a partir de coleta de dados sobre a suspensão de exames de imagem no ano de 2019 no serviço de métodos gráficos de cardiologia. Resultados: Foram identificados 1.119 registros de suspensão de exames e a taxa de suspensão foi de 7,95%. Houve predomínio da suspensão entre idosos (46,20%), do sexo masculino (52,19%), negros (89,90%), com baixa ou nenhuma escolaridade (57,55%). O ecocardiograma foi o exame que teve o maior percentual de suspensão (54,33%) seguido pelo doppler de membros inferiores (14,66%). As principais causas de suspensão foram os exames solicitados em duplicata (32,08%); e a pedido do médico solicitante (22,79%). O absenteísmo do paciente representou 13,32% das suspensões. Conclusão: O maior percentual de suspensão foi relacionado a procedimentos administrativos, como a duplicação e o cancelamento da prescrição pelo médico solicitante. Não houve registro de suspensão por preparo inadequado do paciente pela equipe de enfermagem.
