Pacientes hospitalizados com injúria renal aguda: estudo de coorte

Abstract

Objetivo: Analisar a prevalência de mortalidade de pacientes hospitalizados com injúria renal aguda e fatores associados. Métodos: Estudo de coorte retrospectivo realizado com pacientes adultos internados em um hospital terciário do Sul do Brasil. Realizou-se análise bivariada e, a seguir, modelo de regressão de Poisson com variância robusta. Resultados: A média de idade foi de 59,0 anos, já a dos que evoluíram para óbito foi de 62,4 anos. A mortalidade por injúria renal aguda associou-se com internação em UTI (p-valor = 0,037), paciente crítico (p-valor ≤ 0,001), pior estadiamento (p-valor = 0,001), indicação de hemodiálise (p-valor = 0,001), duas ou mais causas etiológicas (p-valor = 0,004) e progressão da idade (p-valor ≤ 0,001). Conclusão: A identificação precoce dos fatores de risco para mortalidade por injúria renal aguda poderá contribuir para a implementação de medidas para redução do óbito entre pacientes hospitalizados.
